
Tabitha McKinnon
Meet Tabitha MacKinnon, who has been with ARECA for 2 years now, and lives in Brooks. Tabitha brings with her 20 yrs of financial experience working with in agriculture departments in Alberta. She has won team recognition Awards for projects worked on in her role when she was with Alberta Agriculture. Along with that she is also a coach in softball and volleyball, with it translating well with her role within ARECA giving guidance and work ethic

Cornelius Williams
Cornelius Williams, a Digital Alchemist of Marketing & IT with an 8-year journey in project management and a flair for innovation. His expertise traverses diverse industries, with a spotlight on the cutting-edge realms of Ag-tech and health/wellness. With a fusion of Agribusiness education and hands-on experience in digital agriculture automation, Cornelius seamlessly blends agricultural insights with the latest technological symphonies.

Katie Songer
Katie Songer grew up on mixed family farm near Rocky Mountain House. She is the third generation of her family to raise cattle in central Alberta and has been involved in the beef industry for over 30 years, with a focus on seed stock production. A recognized figure on the beef show circuit, Katie has judged almost every major show in Canada, alongside numerous regional and junior events, and bred numerous champions spanning the country.

Sonja Shank
Meet Sonja Shank. Sonja brings her master's education in ruminant nutrition and her research experience to the role of program coordinator with Alberta EFP.
Sonja has worked for various research associations in both Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as for both provincial governments in an agricultural and extension capacity. She also works on special projects for ARECA partnering with the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association and the forage and research associations across the province.

Kate Lovsin
Kate Lovsin, the newest addition to our EFP team, who calls High Prairie home. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and has experience working in the non-profit sector.


Linda Hunt
Linda grew up on a mixed farm on native prairie hills near Milk River, AB. She completed a BSc in Agriculture at the U of A and maintains a license to practice in rangeland and pasture management and livestock production.

Tanya Moskal Hébert
Tanya grew up in the prairie provinces, ending up at the U of A in Edmonton and obtaining a Master’s degree in Reclamation and Remediation with a focus on soils.
She joined the agricultural sustainability/stewardship arena in 2000, leading the technical development of the initial Alberta Environmental Farm Plan.

Lisa Nadeau
Allow us to introduce Lisa, the Director of EFP! Lisa has been with the program since 2017 and is so thrilled to be involved in something that has such a positive impact on the agricultural industry and the environment.
