Tanya Moskal Hébert

Program Director, Environmental Farm Plan

Tanya grew up in the prairie provinces, ending up at the U of A in Edmonton and obtaining a Master’s degree in Reclamation and Remediation with a focus on soils.

She joined the agricultural sustainability/stewardship arena in 2000, leading the technical development of the initial Alberta Environmental Farm Plan.

Through the following 20 years with Alberta Agriculture, she was purpose-driven as an Environmental Program Specialist, Team Lead and Manager in environmental stewardship and, eventually, the associated public trust space.

Tanya uses her significant experience in agricultural research, extension, outreach, and industry engagement to support agriculture and advance the adoption of sustainable systems to earn trust while maintaining profitability.

When she is not working you will find her on a bike or skis, most likely in the mountains, with her husband and two teenage boys.
