PCBFA Now Hiring

June 26, 2017

The Peace Country Beef & Forage Association is a non-profit, producer run group that strives to provide leading edge, credible and locally viable information to Peace Country producers, through our applied research and extension programs.  Our vision is to create agricultural systems that are profitable, regenerative, self-sustaining and selfmaintaining.  We bring together a network of innovative producers to discuss ideas and develop profitable and sustainable ways to produce forages and livestock.

We need a creative and tech-savvy Environmental & Communications Coordinator with a keen interest in conservation agriculture to work with us to develop agricultural systems that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.

As the Environmental & Communications Coordinator, you will maintain a fresh and updated website as well as an active social media presence, design, edit and prepare content for newsletters and magazines, and envision new and inventive ideas for marketing, events, recruitment and more.  You will also meet and consult with producers, build relationships with industry groups and government officials, deliver Environmental Farm Plans, oversee environmental projects and represent PCBFA on multiple operational committees for local environmental initiatives.

The job will be fast-paced and diverse, and offers extensive opportunities for on the job education and networking, as well as a great combination of both office and field work.  Your challenge will be to increase our social media followings, and our membership numbers.
We’ve got a fully matched RRSP, a great health insurance plan, and provide a company cellphone and some travel opportunities.  The position can be based out of either our Fairview or High Prairie office.

The starting salary range is $50,000 - $57,000, with performance based increases on a quarterly basis for the first year.

If you’re interested, please send a resume to liisa@pcbfa.ca, along with a short description (350 words or less) of why you think you would be a good fit for the role.
Application Deadline: July 17th, 2017
