Mackenzie Applied Research Draws a Full House to their Annual General Meeting

MARA hosted its 2016-2017 Annual General Meeting on Thursday February 9, 2017 at the Fort Vermilion Complex. As part of the AGM, MARA honoured some community members whose volunteer contribution in 2016 led to significant success at MARA. Dr. Sheri Strydhorst, a renowned research scientist with Alberta Agriculture & Forestry was the keynote speaker for the evening. Dr. Strydhorst spoke on “Maximizing Crop Yield through Agronomic Practices”. The event celebrated a great year for MARA, recognizing the successful delivery of many agronomic, environmental, and livestock programs. The AGM was open to the public and drew over 100 farmers and ranchers.
